KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Deputies and community outreach specialists with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office spent part of the weekend helping local students prepare for the upcoming school year during a backpack and school supply giveaway at the Robert Guevara Community Center.

The Sheriff's Office Community Services team participated in the event, meeting with families, distributing school supplies, and providing information about programs and resources available through the agency.

Photos shared by the Sheriff's Office show deputies greeting attendees, answering questions, and handing out educational materials while students and parents visited the community outreach booth.

Officials said the event provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with residents while helping ensure students have the supplies they need for a successful start to the new school year.

"Our Community Services team was proud to participate in the Backpack & School Supply Giveaway at the Robert Guevara Community Center," the Osceola County Sheriff's Office said in a social media post. "It was wonderful to connect with local families, help students get ready for the school year, and share information about the programs and resources available through the Osceola County Sheriff's Office."
