Mesa Fire Ladder Truck Involved in Crash Near Country Club and Southern

MESA, AZ — A crash involving a Mesa Fire and Medical ladder truck and a passenger vehicle caused traffic disruptions near Country Club Drive and Southern Avenue around 3 p.m. Thursday.

According to Mesa Fire Public Information Officer Marrisa Ramirez-Ramos, the incident involved a Mesa Fire ladder truck and another vehicle. Fire crews responded to the scene and confirmed there were no serious injuries and no medical transports as a result of the crash.

Mesa Police Public Information Officer Detective Jose Aguirre said the collision involved a Mesa Fire truck and a sedan. Officers responded to investigate the crash while emergency crews worked to secure the area.

iSkyNews.com reporters were on scene and spoke with several crew members involved in the accident, who also confirmed that no injuries were reported to anyone at the scene.

As a result of the crash, two northbound lanes of Country Club Drive were closed, impacting traffic in the area during the afternoon commute. Drivers were urged to use alternate routes and expect delays.

Mesa Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
