Highway Patrol Troopers Bring Holiday Magic to Kids Across Arizona at Shop With A Cop

Arizona’s holiday spirit was shining bright this week as Highway Patrol State Troopers from District 1 and District 9 joined law enforcement partners in Cochise County, Mohave Valley, and Bullhead City for the annual Shop With A Copevents.

Troopers spent the morning helping kids pick out Christmas gifts, guiding them through aisles filled with toys, games, and holiday surprises. The air was full of laughter, excitement, and those unforgettable little moments — from kids proudly showing off their favorite finds to officers wearing festive antlers and Santa headbands just to make the children smile.

For many of the troopers, the joy came not from the shopping itself, but from the genuine connections made with the kids and families they serve. It was a chance to create positive memories, offer encouragement, and spread a little extra kindness during the holiday season.

This annual tradition continues to strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the community, reminding everyone what the season is truly about — giving, caring, and coming together.
