Father Charged After Heartbreaking Hot Tub Tragedy Claims Toddler’s Life in Kissimmee
KISSIMMEE, Fla. — In a deeply tragic turn of events, a family vacationing in Kissimmee has been struck by an unimaginable loss. A 20-month-old girl from Washington, D.C. drowned in a hot tub at a vacation rental home early Saturday morning, leading to the arrest of her father.
Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies and Fire Rescue crews were called to the Airbnb residence on Nice Court around 3:30 a.m. on December 13, 2025, after receiving reports of an unresponsive child. The toddler was rushed to AdventHealth Celebration, where she was pronounced deceased just after 4:30 a.m.
According to investigators, the child’s father, Reynard Tyrone Hough, 33, of Washington, D.C., told deputies he brought his daughter into the hot tub and fell asleep while holding her. He later awoke to a devastating realization — the child was unresponsive in his arms while still in the water.
