FHP Searching for Driver After Hit-and-Run Crash Leaves Motorcyclist Injured in Spring Hill
SPRING HILL, FL. (iSkyNews.com) — The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred Friday afternoon, October 24, 2025, at approximately 1:33 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. Highway 19 and Maryland Avenue.
According to FHP, Vehicle 1 — described as a silver mid-sized SUV driven by an unknown motorist — was traveling northbound on U.S. 19 when it attempted to make a left turn onto Maryland Avenue. At that moment, Vehicle 2, a Suzuki motorcycle operated by a 34-year-old Spring Hill man, was traveling southbound on U.S. 19. The motorcycle collided with the SUV after the SUV turned directly into its path.
Following the impact, the driver of the SUV continued westbound on Maryland Avenue without stopping, in violation of Florida state law requiring drivers involved in crashes to remain at the scene.
The condition of the motorcyclist has not been released at this time, and the investigation remains active.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information about the fleeing vehicle to contact **FHP by dialing FHP (347) or call **Crime Stoppers at TIPS.
