Electrical Outlet Fire Sparks Emergency Response at Banner Goldfield Medical Center

APACHE JUNCTION, AZ — According to Superstition Fire and Medical District, crews responded to a reported electrical fire Sunday afternoon in the emergency room at Banner Goldfield Medical Center near West Southern Avenue in Apache Junction.

The incident occurred around 3:38 PM when an electrical outlet under the nurse’s desk began sparking and produced visible flames. Hospital staff quickly grabbed a fire extinguisher and managed to put out the fire before firefighters arrived.

Upon arrival, fire crews confirmed the fire was extinguished but reported light smoke inside the ER that required ventilation to clear the area. No injuries were reported, and the situation was contained without further damage.
