Scottsdale Police Remind Families to Buckle Up During Child Passenger Safety Week

Scottsdale, AZ – Keeping kids safe on the road is a top priority, and the Scottsdale Police Department is joining families across the nation to mark Child Passenger Safety Week, happening September 21–27, 2025. The campaign wraps up with National Seat Check Day on Saturday, September 27.

The weeklong effort, supported by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, focuses on one simple but important message: the right car seat, booster seat, or seat belt can save a child’s life.

During the campaign, Scottsdale Police will be out in the community with added enforcement and visibility to remind parents and caregivers about Arizona’s child passenger safety laws. Officers hope to not just enforce, but also encourage safe habits that keep children protected every time they get in the car.

“This is about making sure every ride is a safe ride,” officials said. “Thanks to the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, we’re able to give families the tools, resources, and reminders they need to keep their little ones safe.”

By coming together as a community, Scottsdale Police believe we can all do our part to make the roads safer for children and families across Arizona.
