Mesa, AZ - At approximately 7:15 p.m. this evening, Mesa Fire & Medical crews responded to a residential fire at 7536 E Dewberry Circle in Mesa. Upon arrival, responders observed heavy smoke billowing from the home and promptly upgraded the call to a working fire.

One occupant evacuated safely and was evaluated on scene with no reported injuries.

Due to the scale of the incident, additional resources were dispatched, including the Battalion Chief, Ladder Trucks, Mesa Fire Connectors, Salt River Project (SRP), Southwest Gas, and Mesa Police Department. Utility crews assisted in securing the area while firefighters worked swiftly to contain the blaze.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all agencies involved, the fire was extinguished before it could spread to neighboring properties. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
