MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ — A routine traffic stop turned into a critical intervention when Lake Patrol Deputies arrested 32-year-old Andreanna Fager for criminal speeding and multiple endangerment charges, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies pulled Fager over near Lake Pleasant and quickly determined she was driving under the influence—nearly three times the legal alcohol limit. Inside the vehicle, officers discovered a 7-month-old infant unrestrained in the back seat, open containers of alcohol, and narcotics in Fager’s purse.
“This could have ended in tragedy,” the Sheriff’s Office stated. “Thanks to the quick actions of our deputies, a dangerous situation was safely resolved. We’re grateful for their continued dedication to keeping our community safe.”
Fager was taken into custody without incident. The infant was safely transferred to protective care.
Charges are pending, and the investigation remains ongoing.
