Shots Fired Incident Under Investigation in East Mesa

Mesa, AZ — Mesa Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday morning at an apartment complex near 432 S 32nd Street. Officers responded shortly after 9:00 a.m. following a report of gunfire in the area.

According to Mesa Police, a resident called 911 stating that a neighbor had discharged a firearm multiple times. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple bullet holes across several apartment units. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Police were able to quickly identify and locate the suspect, who is currently being processed for booking into jail. The investigation remains active, and Mesa Police have not yet released the suspect’s identity or motive.

Residents in the area were temporarily advised to shelter in place while officers secured the scene. Mesa Police have confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.
