Suspect Arrested in ‘Rockin’ Register’ Burglary Spree Across Tempe
TEMPE, AZ — iSkyNews.com – A burglary suspect linked to a wave of break-ins at multiple Tempe restaurants has been arrested, according to the Tempe Police Department.
Jose Perez-Robledo, 22, was taken into custody on July 23, 2025, by Tempe PD’s Criminal Apprehension and Surveillance Team (CAST) in connection to a series of burglaries known as the “Rockin’ Register Crime Series.
”Detectives say the suspect targeted closed businesses in the overnight hours between July 3–8, using rocks to shatter windows and steal cash drawers and registers.
The affected businesses included:
🥤 Quicky Tempe Boba
🍔 Johnny’s Burgers and Dogs
🌮 Karla’s Taco Shop
🌶️ Serrano’s Restaurant
Detectives quickly launched an investigation, reviewing surveillance footage and identifying the suspect’s vehicle, which helped lead to Perez-Robledo’s arrest. Police say he may also be connected to similar burglaries across the Valley.

Perez-Robledo is now facing four counts of Burglary in the Third Degree, a Class 4 felony.
🚔 The investigation is ongoing, and Tempe PD is asking anyone with information to come forward.
