RECALL ALERT: RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches Pulled Nationwide Over Labeling Error

MondelÄ“z Global LLC has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of select RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwich products after discovering that some individually wrapped packs may be mislabeled as “Cheese” flavor—posing serious risks to consumers with peanut allergies.

The recall affects:

  • 8-pack, 20-pack, and 40-pack cartons of RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches
  • 20-pack RITZ Filled Cracker Sandwich Variety Packs with Best When Used By Dates ranging from Nov 1–9, 2025 and Jan 2–22, 2026, depending on product and plant codes.

💡 While outer cartons are correctly labeled with allergen warnings, the internal packaging mislabel could lead to accidental consumption by those allergic to peanuts.

🚫 Consumers with peanut allergies are urged not to eat these products and to discard any affected packs. No illnesses have been reported, and MondelÄ“z says the recall is precautionary following a supplier error in packaging film rolls.
