MESA, AZ — Mesa Fire & Medical crews responded to a two-vehicle collision late Tuesday morning near the intersection of N. Ramada and E. Brown Road, just east of 64th Street.
The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m., blocking the eastbound left lane of E. Brown Rd. Upon arrival, firefighters found both vehicles with moderate damage and determined they were immobile, with one car’s airbags deployed. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and all individuals involved were evaluated and released on scene without need for hospital transport.
Mesa Police Department arrived shortly after to manage traffic control and ensure the safety of drivers passing through the busy intersection. A tow truck later arrived to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway. Officers also took the initiative to help clean up debris left behind from the crash.
In a heartwarming gesture, Mesa Police officers provided a courtesy ride to an elderly couple involved in the accident—one of many ways first responders go above and beyond for community members.
Special thanks go out to Mesa Police, Mesa Fire & Medical, and the dedicated tow truck operators who put themselves at risk every day to help keep our roads safe.
