Mesa Police Investigating Reported Armed Neighbor Dispute at Apartment Complex

MESA, Ariz. — Mesa Police are investigating a reported neighbor dispute at an apartment complex near 8th Avenue and Country Club Drive after police say a weapon was allegedly used to threaten one of the people involved.
Officers responded to the apartment complex around 9 p.m. Friday following reports of a dispute between neighbors.
According to Mesa Police, officers arrived and were able to make contact with everyone involved in the incident, including the person who allegedly had a gun.
Police said all participants involved in the dispute were with officers as they worked to determine exactly what happened.
The circumstances leading up to the confrontation remain unclear, and investigators have not released additional details about what allegedly prompted the dispute or how the firearm was reportedly used.
Police have also not indicated whether anyone was injured or whether any arrests or charges will result from the investigation.
The incident remains under investigation. Additional information may be released as officers continue interviewing those involved and determine what led up to the reported threat.
