MESA, Ariz. — More than a year after a Mesa man was found dead in an alley, detectives are once again asking for the public's help to identify a person seen near the scene and to come forward with any information that could help solve the case.
The Mesa Police Department reached out to iSkyNews.com to help share the renewed appeal in the homicide investigation involving 47-year-old Jerry Dietch.
According to police, officers responded at approximately 6:23 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, to an alley near Hibbert Street and Broadway Road. When officers arrived, they found Dietch deceased with obvious signs of trauma.
As investigators worked to piece together what happened, surveillance video captured an unidentified man leaving the area around the time of the incident.
