Osceola Deputies Net Dozens of DUI Arrests in April Safety Push
KISSIMMEE, FL — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is sending a clear message to motorists: one reckless decision behind the wheel can destroy a life in an instant.
Sheriff Christopher A. Blackmon recently announced the results of a month-long enforcement surge targeting impaired drivers throughout April. During the operation, deputies with the agency’s Traffic Unit took 36 impaired drivers off the streets, potentially preventing dozens of tragedies on local roadways.
The crackdown was conducted as part of the national "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign. Working in partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Central Florida, the Sheriff’s Office emphasized that every arrest represents hours of exhaustive investigative work and a commitment to protecting the community through both education and proactive enforcement.
"Impaired driving destroys lives in an instant," the Sheriff’s Office stated, noting that the consequences of driving under the influence ripple far beyond the driver, leaving lasting scars on victims, families, and the entire community.
