POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) and Tactical Drug Unit (TDU) arrested multiple suspects Thursday following an undercover narcotics operation that targeted suspected drug activity across several Polk County communities.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the investigation began on April 30, 2026, and focused on locations in Haines City, Lake Wales, Davenport, Lakeland, Auburndale, and Winter Haven.

Detectives identified seven suspects during the investigation. As of Thursday, five suspects have been arrested, while two additional suspects remain wanted on active warrants.

Authorities said three of the arrested suspects are charged with selling marijuana within 1,000 feet of a church, while two others are charged with selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church.

One of the suspects, Donovan Roserie, 23, of Lakeland, drew particular attention from investigators. According to the Sheriff's Office, Roserie was on probation for burglary and grand theft of a motor vehicle and was wearing an electronic ankle monitor when he allegedly sold narcotics to an undercover detective.

During the execution of a search warrant at Roserie's apartment, detectives reported finding marijuana packaged for sale, ammunition, and a firearm. Authorities noted Roserie is a convicted felon, making possession of the firearm a criminal offense.

Sheriff Grady Judd issued a strong warning to those involved in drug trafficking.

"Drug dealers who think they can hide in neighborhoods and sell poison in our community are making very bad decisions. Our detectives will find you, we will arrest you, and we will hold you accountable. If you're on probation, wearing an ankle monitor, and still committing crimes, you're proving exactly why you need to be behind bars."
