WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — A 39-year-old Davenport man was arrested Thursday after Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives say he solicited an undercover deputy for a lewd act and exposed himself during a vice operation at Lake Hartridge Nature Park.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, members of the agency's Undercover Vice Unit conducted an enforcement operation on May 28, 2026, in response to community complaints regarding alleged lewd activity occurring at the popular Winter Haven park.

During the operation, detectives say Dustin Wilson, 39, of Davenport, approached an undercover detective and allegedly offered to engage in a lewd act.

Investigators further allege that Wilson exposed himself by penetrating a hole in a bathroom stall while interacting with the undercover detective.

Wilson was taken into custody without incident.

In addition to the criminal charges, Wilson was issued a trespass warning prohibiting him from entering any parks within Polk County.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said the operation was conducted in direct response to complaints from residents and park visitors regarding inappropriate activity occurring at the nature park.

Authorities encourage citizens to continue reporting suspicious or illegal activity in public parks and recreational areas.
