80-Year-Old Driver Arrested Following Deadly Hit-and-Run in Chandler; Dash Cam Footage Key to Capture
CHANDLER, AZ — An 80-year-old man is behind bars today after witness statements and critical dash camera footage led Chandler Police to a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision late Wednesday night.
The incident occurred just after 10:00 p.m. on May 6, 2026, near the intersection of Chandler Blvd. and Metro Blvd.

Officers arrived on the scene to find a pedestrian, identified as 55-year-old Alfred Canner, suffering from catastrophic injuries. According to investigators, Canner had been crossing the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop or render aid, fleeing the scene immediately after the impact.
The Chandler Police Department highlighted the vital role of the local community in solving this case. Several witnesses remained on the scene to provide a description of the fleeing vehicle, and one witness provided dash camera footage that captured the incident.
Detectives with the Vehicles Crimes Unit utilized this footage and other investigative evidence to track down the vehicle in the early morning hours of May 7.
The driver, identified as Milo Beck (D.O.B. 10/26/45), was taken into custody without incident. Beck faces charges related to leaving the scene of a deadly accident.
"The Chandler Police Department thanks the community for being excellent witnesses and helping officers locate and arrest the driver swiftly and safely," the department said in a media advisory.
