⚖️ Charge: Felony Criminal Mischief

The Investigation
The arrest stems from a conflict that began late last year. According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), Morales was a tenant at a local residence. When he moved out, the property owner reportedly refused to return his security deposit, claiming the home was left with damages and not in its original condition.
Following the disagreement, the owner discovered significant intentional damage to the property’s outdoor air conditioning unit.
During the subsequent investigation, a PCSO detective reached Morales by phone. Investigators state that Morales admitted to sabotaging the AC unit, explaining that he did so specifically because the landlord would not return his deposit.
Morales was spotted and stopped by deputies on Monday, April 27th, at approximately 10:45 AM. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Polk County Jail.
