BREVARD COUNTY, FL — A major update has been released in connection to a deadly multi-vehicle crash that occurred last year in Brevard County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Sedrick Walraven of Melbourne was arrested on April 7, 2026, and booked into the Brevard County Jail. He is now facing charges of Vehicular Homicide and Driving While License Revoked Causing Death.

The charges stem from a serious crash on October 3, 2025, at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Eber Boulevard.

Crash Details

Investigators say Walraven was driving a 2017 box truck southbound on Hollywood Boulevard when he ran a red light, entering the intersection and colliding with a 2021 Porsche Taycan traveling eastbound.

The impact triggered a chain-reaction crash involving multiple vehicles, including a Mazda, Honda Odyssey, Ford Escape, and Toyota Camry, all of which were stopped at the intersection.

Authorities say the force of the crash caused the box truck to overturn multiple times, sending debris into other vehicles.

The driver of the Porsche, a 67-year-old woman from Melbourne Beach, was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.

Several other drivers and passengers involved suffered minor or no injuries.

According to investigators, Walraven was actively fleeing a prior hit-and-run crash being investigated by the West Melbourne Police Department at the time of the collision.

He was initially transported to the hospital with serious injuries, and charges were pending until now.

The Florida Highway Patrol confirms the case remains an active criminal investigation.
