🌱 A Festival With Deep, Delicious Roots

The Florida Strawberry Festival® is more than concerts—it’s a celebration of Florida’s culture, heritage, and of course, strawberries.

The festival began in 1930, thanks to the Plant City Lions Club, who wanted to shine a spotlight on Florida’s famous winter strawberries. After a World War II pause, the festival returned in 1948 and has grown enormously ever since—now attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.

Today, the festival blends old-fashioned Americana with a modern twist, offering:

🍓 Agriculture & horticulture displays
🎨 Arts, crafts, and handmade goods
🐄 Livestock shows
🎡 Rides & carnival attractions
🎺 Parades with marching bands
👧 Youth competitions & community events
🎤 A full lineup of award-winning entertainers

It’s one of the few events that truly makes you feel like you stepped into a classic American postcard—warm, welcoming, and wonderfully nostalgic.
