Motorcycle Crash Turns Crime Scene in Mesa; Rider Transported as Trauma Code

MESA, Ariz. (iSkyNews.com) — A serious motorcycle crash occurred around 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of Stapley Drive and Southern Avenue in Mesa, prompting a major emergency response.

According to Mesa Fire and Medical, the rider was found unconscious and suffering from labored breathing at the scene. The patient was quickly transported Code 3 as a trauma case to Banner Desert Medical Center.

Mesa Police have since shut down the entire intersection as they conduct a full investigation. Crime Scene Technicians were observed taking photographs of the area, where the motorcycle, helmet, and debris remain scattered across the roadway.

As of 9:00 p.m., the tow truck had not yet arrived, and the intersection remains closed as authorities continue their investigation.
