MESA, Ariz. — Tonight at approximately 9:30 p.m., a motor vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Greenfield Road and McDowell Road in Mesa. The crash involved an Amazon tractor-trailer and a gray passenger car.
According to reports from the scene, the tractor-trailer struck the car from behind, causing heavy rear-end damage to the smaller vehicle. Mesa Fire & Medical crews from Station 208, along with Mesa Police, responded to the scene. A medic unit was dispatched, though it remains unclear if anyone was transported for medical treatment.
The westbound right lane of McDowell Road remains shut down as Mesa Police continue to investigate the crash and clear debris from the roadway. As of 10:00 p.m., the scene is still active and traffic remains blocked in the area.
