Child Critically Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, FL – Emergency crews responded Saturday afternoon after a child was struck by a vehicle in Kissimmee, leaving two patients hospitalized.

According to Osceola County Fire and Rescue, the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. near South John Young Parkway and Mohawk Drive.

Officials confirmed two patients were transported:

  • One patient was taken directly to Osceola Regional Hospital.
  • The second patient, identified as a pediatric trauma alert, was transported to the hospital’s helipad to be airlifted by AirCare for further treatment.

The child remains in critical condition.

Authorities shut down all roads in the area while emergency crews worked the scene. Drivers are urged to avoid the intersection and use alternate routes.
