Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle Near N. Higley and E. Evergreen in Mesa

Mesa, AZ (iSkyNews.com) – A woman was taken to the hospital this afternoon after being struck by a vehicle near N. Higley Road and E. Evergreen Street in Mesa.

It happened just before 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. When Mesa Fire and Medical crews and Mesa Police arrived, they found the injured woman sitting on the ground. Thankfully, her injuries were not life-threatening, and she was taken to a local hospital for further care.

For a short time, northbound Higley Road was partially blocked while first responders treated the woman and cleared the scene. By 5:30 p.m., all emergency units had cleared the area and traffic was back to normal.
