KISSIMMEE, FL – The Osceola Response Team, a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is holding a grand opening for its new community pantry today. The facility, located at 1032 Mann Street in Kissimmee, is set to provide essential support to local residents.

The event, which kicks off at 10 AM, will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 PM. This is also a special day for the organization's founder, Richard Herr, as the grand opening coincides with his birthday.

Herr shared his excitement, stating, “I am very proud and blessed to spend my birthday with you all. I love you and Jesus does too.”

The celebration will be a community block party with a wide range of activities for all ages. There will be live music, food, and bounce houses. A highlight of the day will be the first-ever event for Abracadabra’s ice cream mobile unit, so you can grab a sweet treat while you’re there. The Sky Watcher storm truck will also be on-site, showcasing the team’s emergency response capabilities.

Special guests expected to attend include Commissioner Janette Martinez, Diana from Kissimmee Main Street, and representatives from the TIR church. The event will also be a great opportunity for community members to meet with special guest mental health partners and doctors who will be present.

The Osceola Response Team is an emergency response organization with a disaster team and search and rescue hounds. They also have an "Open the Freezer" initiative that helps people find the nearest freezer location for food.
