Osceola County, Fla. — A deputy with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested following a criminal investigation into unauthorized access of law enforcement computer systems.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Deputy Jeffrey Alan Curtis II, who joined the agency in October 2020 and was assigned to veteran’s outreach services, was the subject of an internal affairs complaint reviewed earlier this month.

Investigators determined that on September 4, 2022, Curtis knowingly accessed electronic databases and computer systems without authorization and for purposes unrelated to his official duties. The access was not connected to any assigned casework and violated both agency protocols and Florida law governing offenses against computer systems and electronic records.

Curtis was placed on administrative leave on August 15, 2025, and a warrant for his arrest was signed on August 20. He turned himself in at the Osceola County Jail on August 22, where his bond was set at $1,000.

“Our badge represents profound trust,” said Sheriff Christopher A. Blackmon. “Unfortunately, a member of our agency has violated that trust and failed both the Sheriff’s Office and our community, which we have continually vowed to protect. If criminal activity is discovered within the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, we will take prompt action to ensure the appropriate measures are taken.”

The investigation remains ongoing. No additional charges have been announced at this time.
