Firefighters conducted a 360-degree assessment of the building and noted a light odor of gas near the restaurant’s entrance. Guests and staff, along with a dog, were safely evacuated while crews investigated.
Crews also checked the neighboring business, Thai Food Corner, where the source of the odor was suspected. Firefighters used caution while gaining access and worked with the property management company to notify the business owner.
After a thorough inspection, Mesa Fire determined there was no hazard to the area and allowed everyone to return inside Alessia’s. No injuries were reported.
Huge thanks to our incredible first responders for their swift action and dedication to keeping our community safe.
