Three Injured in Early Morning Rollover Crash in Mesa

Mesa, AZ — At approximately 4:55 a.m. on Monday, emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of N Greenfield Rd and E Mallory Cir, situated between McKellips Rd and McDowell Rd in northeast Mesa.

Mesa Fire & Medical classified the incident as a “2 in 1 Medical,” prompting a multi-unit response that included crews from Station 208, Station 214, a Battalion Chief, and three ambulances. Upon arrival, responders found a Jeep on its side with the driver trapped inside. Firefighters initiated a mechanical extrication, a complex procedure involving cutting through the vehicle to safely remove the patient.

A total of four individuals were involved in the crash. The Jeep’s driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other three occupants, traveling in an SUV, were treated at the scene and later departed after collecting their belongings.

Mesa Police closed northbound Greenfield Rd at Mallory Cir to manage the scene, while southbound traffic remained open. Officers stayed on site until All City Towing arrived with a flatbed truck to remove the damaged vehicles. By 6:45 a.m., both vehicles were cleared, and the roadway was reopened by 7:00 a.m.

Footage from the scene captured the overturned Jeep, fire personnel stabilizing the vehicle and securing hazards, and the tow truck removing debris. The incident is under investigation.
