Mesa, AZ — Arizona Highway Patrol State Troopers arrested a driver on Sunday after clocking a white Nissan traveling at a staggering 107 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on State Route 202 near Val Vista Drive.

Troopers say the vehicle was not only speeding but weaving dangerously through traffic, posing a serious threat to other motorists. The driver was immediately stopped, arrested at the scene, and charged with criminal speeding and reckless driving — both offenses that can result in jail time under Arizona law.

The vehicle was impounded on the spot.

📸 One image shows the radar gun registering the 107 MPH reading, while another shows the Nissan being towed away as a DPS cruiser stands by with lights flashing.

Arizona DPS continues to remind drivers:
🚫 Reckless driving = jail
🚫 Criminal speeding = jail
⚠️ #NoMoreNOKs – no more next of kin notifications due to preventable crashes.

Stay safe. Slow down. Your life—and others—depend on it.
