Mesa, AZ – At approximately 10:46 a.m. today, emergency responders from Mesa Fire & Medical and the Mesa Police Department were dispatched to a report of an unconscious individual at a bus stop near Main Street and 64th Street.
Upon arrival, paramedics assessed the individual on scene and transported them to a nearby hospital. Authorities confirmed the patient sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
During the response, the number 2 lane of Main Street at 64th Street was partially blocked to allow emergency crews to safely assist the patient.
Mesa Police assisted with traffic control while the scene was cleared. The cause of the medical emergency was not immediately disclosed.
Drivers in the area experienced minor delays but the roadway has since been reopened.
