ST. CLOUD, Fla. — Law enforcement officials are investigating after a suspicious device was discovered inside a restaurant in St. Cloud on Monday evening.
According to Captain Kim Montes with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, the device was located at approximately 6:15 p.m. inside Piocos Chicken Restaurant, located at 5160 Boggy Creek Road.
Deputies with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office quickly responded to the scene and safely evacuated the restaurant as a precaution. No injuries have been reported.
As the investigation continues, authorities have shut down Boggy Creek Road in both directions in the immediate area of the restaurant. Officials noted that Narcoossee Road remains open to traffic.
The nature of the suspicious device has not yet been disclosed, and law enforcement has not released additional information regarding any potential threat.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while deputies and investigators continue their work.
