PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A late-night traffic stop on Interstate 75 led to a DUI arrest and the discovery of enough empty beverage cans to make a recycling center jealous.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), at approximately 10:46 p.m. on June 12, 2026, a State Trooper was patrolling northbound on I-75 near the 280-mile marker in Pasco County when a speeding vehicle caught the Trooper's attention.

FHP says a Honda Civic was traveling in excess of 90 mph as it passed the patrol vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated, and during the investigation, the Trooper observed signs that the driver was heavily intoxicated.

The driver was identified as Conor William Parady, 33, of San Antonio, Florida.

During the stop, Troopers reportedly discovered 34 open alcoholic beverage containers inside the vehicle. A photo released from the scene shows the passenger seat piled high with empty cans, creating what could only be described as a "hard seltzer mountain."

Parady was arrested and transported to the Pasco County Jail. According to FHP, he later provided a breath alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.177, more than twice Florida's legal limit of 0.08.

Fortunately, no crashes or injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

While the situation may seem almost unbelievable, FHP reminds drivers that impaired driving remains one of the leading causes of serious crashes and fatalities on Florida roadways.
