HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A 35-year-old Tampa man was killed late Tuesday night after attempting to cross Interstate 75 and being struck by two vehicles, according to investigators.

The fatal crash occurred on May 13, 2026, at approximately 11:30 p.m. along the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near the 267 milepost in Hillsborough County.

According to investigators, a 57-year-old Sun City Center woman was driving a Nissan Sentra southbound on I-75, while a 20-year-old Lakeland woman was also traveling southbound behind the wheel of a Lincoln MKZ.

Authorities say the 35-year-old Tampa man attempted to walk across the interstate, entering the path of the oncoming vehicles. He was struck first by the Nissan Sentra and then by the Lincoln MKZ in successive order.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No additional injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
