Nightclub Customer Arrested After High-Speed Pursuit and Assault of Employee

DAVENPORT, FL – A late-night shift ended in terror for a Lake County employee early Sunday morning after a disgruntled customer allegedly stalked her across county lines, rammed her vehicle, and physically assaulted her at a gas station.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) arrested 23-year-old Jaden Richard of Haines City following the violent encounter that began shortly after 2:00 am on May 10, 2026.

The victim, a dancer at a Lake County nightclub, finished her shift and began her commute south on US 27. She quickly realized she was being shadowed by a Chevrolet pickup truck. The victim recognized the driver as a man who had been a customer at the club earlier that evening.

According to investigators, Richard pulled alongside the victim’s car, attempting to force her off the road while shouting demands for the return of money he had purportedly sent her via Cash App. The situation escalated when Richard allegedly used his truck as a weapon, intentionally striking the victim's vehicle and causing significant damage.

In an attempt to find safety, the victim pulled into a gas station in the Davenport area. However, Richard followed her into the parking lot. While the victim was in her vehicle, Richard allegedly reached through her open window, grabbed her by the throat, and punched her.

The victim fought back using mace attached to her keychain. While the chemical irritant effective slowed the attacker, Richard managed to wrestle the mace and her keys away from her before fleeing the scene in his truck.

The victim immediately contacted 911. PCSO deputies flooded the area and located Richard’s Chevy truck within minutes near the Posner Park shopping center.

Upon searching the vehicle, deputies recovered the victim’s keys and mace hidden behind the driver’s seat. Richard was taken into custody without further incident.
