KISSIMMEE, FL — Authorities have given the "all clear" at Horizon Middle School after a targeted threat triggered a massive law enforcement response and a campus-wide lockdown on Wednesday morning.

Timeline of Events

9:00 AM: The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) received reports of a threat called directly into the school. Deputies arrived on the scene within minutes to secure the perimeter.

10:24 AM: After a meticulous sweep of the entire facility, officials officially lifted the lockdown.

Current Status: The campus has been deemed safe, and all students and staff are accounted for and unharmed.

iSkyNews.com was on the scene at 2020 Ham Brown Rd, witnessing over 7 sheriff vehicles and emergency units staged outside the school. Once the scene was declared safe, a line of school buses—which had been held back during the investigation—was permitted to enter the campus to resume normal operations.

While the immediate danger has passed, the case is far from closed. OCSO Detectives have launched a full investigation into the origin of the phone call.

"We cleared the entire school, and the lockdown was lifted at 10:24 am. Everyone is safe currently," the Sheriff’s Office confirmed. Detectives will continue to work to identify the individual responsible for the threat.
