Family Seeking Public’s Help to Locate Missing Oklahoma Woman Last Seen After Christmas

NEWCASTLE, Okla. — Family members are urgently asking for the public’s help to locate 34-year-old Laquita Smith, who has been missing since late December and has not been heard from since Christmas.

According to her family, Smith was last seen on Christmas night, December 25, 2025, at the Newcastle Casino in Newcastle, Oklahoma. Family members say Smith told her sister she was tired and heading home to go to bed. She has not been seen or heard from since.

“This is not like her at all,” her aunt, Danesha Wallace, said. “We as her family and friends haven’t heard anything from her since Christmas, and we are extremely worried.”

Smith is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, approximately 250 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair that has a brown patch. She has several piercings and multiple tattoos on her left hand. Family members say she often goes by the names Rip or Shanay.

At the time she went missing, Smith was driving a gold Chevrolet Malibu, model years 2008–2010. She is also known to frequent the south side of Oklahoma City. Family members say she does not have her phone, making contact even more difficult.

A missing person report has been filed with the Oklahoma City Police Department, and the case has been entered as Case #2025-0095805. Police are actively investigating, but family members say they need the public’s help to bring her home.
