Important Arizona Update for Fingerprint Clearance Card Applicants
PHOENIX, AZ (iSkyNews.com) – The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) has released an important update for anyone applying for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card. Beginning January 1, 2026, the AZDPS Clearance Card Section will only accept the newest version of the non-IVP application form.
According to officials, the change is meant to ensure a smoother and more secure application process. The updated form includes the most accurate “Reason Fingerprinted” options, revised privacy and security statements, and an updated fingerprint verification form used for paper submissions. Using the correct form will help prevent delays and reduce the number of applications that must be returned or corrected.
Applicants are encouraged to apply online whenever possible.
- Online (Recommended): Apply and submit fingerprints electronically at https://psp.azdps.gov
- Paper Application: Download the most recent version through the PSP Paper Application portal
