Eloy Fire District Responds to Serious Crash and Vehicle Fire Near Robson Ranch
Eloy, AZ (iSkyNews.com) – Multiple crews from the Eloy Fire District responded early this morning to a serious vehicle crash and fire near Frontier and Robson Boulevard.
When firefighters arrived, they found a heavily damaged vehicle that had left the roadway and come to rest near a rock embankment, partially on fire. Paramedics immediately began treating one patient who had sustained life-threatening injuries, while Engine 522 crews worked quickly to extinguish the flames and search the surrounding area for any additional victims. Thankfully, none were found.
Due to the severity of the patient’s injuries, Air Evac Eloy was called to the scene. The patient was airlifted to a Level One Trauma Center for further treatment.
Eloy Police Department officers assisted with securing the area as firefighters and paramedics worked under challenging conditions along the desert terrain near the railroad tracks.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
