CENTRAL ARIZONA — The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority is celebrating a huge milestone for Firefighter Steve Cruz — 20 years of serving and protecting the community.
For two decades, Cruz has been a steady, reliable presence on the front lines, answering countless calls, rushing toward danger, and lending a hand wherever it’s been needed. From fighting fires and performing rescues to helping with community events, his dedication has touched lives in ways that can’t be measured.
“Steve’s impact is felt every single day, both here at CAFMA and out in the community,” the department shared. “His hard work, heart for service, and commitment to others are what this job is all about.”
Friends and colleagues say Cruz is more than just a firefighter — he’s a mentor, a teammate, and someone you can count on when it matters most.
