MESA, AZ — A two-vehicle accident caused a temporary traffic disruption on Eastbound University Drive near St. Paul and Higley Road in Mesa around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Mesa Fire & Medical arrived on scene to find both vehicles with heavy front-end damage and airbags deployed. Emergency crews quickly assessed the situation, and one individual was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Mesa Police responded shortly after to assist with traffic control, and the far right lane of EB University was closed to allow emergency crews to safely work. Two tow trucks from All City Towing were called to remove the damaged vehicles.
By the time the scene was cleared and the tow trucks departed, all lanes were reopened and traffic returned to normal.
