OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (June 15, 2025) — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of its own following the passing of Deputy Jason Roberts, a dedicated public servant who spent nearly two decades protecting and serving the people of Florida.

According to Sheriff Christopher Blackmon, Deputy Roberts passed away on June 14, 2025. He had a distinguished career in law enforcement, serving 16 years with the Florida Highway Patrol before joining the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, where he served proudly for the past three years.

“Deputy Roberts was more than just a deputy,” Sheriff Blackmon said in a heartfelt statement. “He was a trusted colleague, a loyal friend, and a devoted family man. His compassion, strength, and unwavering commitment left an indelible mark on everyone privileged to know him.”

With over 19 years of service, Roberts was a figure of strength, compassion, and leadership. He is remembered not only for his professionalism and dedication but also for the warmth and kindness he brought to those around him.

His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of his fellow deputies, friends, and community members.

The Sheriff's Office is asking the community to keep Deputy Roberts’ family, friends, and loved ones in their thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
