Bellamy Brothers Boulevard Motorcycle Crash Kills Lithia Man

BROOKSVILLE, FL – May 28, 2025 – A 37-year-old Lithia man was killed this morning following a collision between his motorcycle and an SUV on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard in Hernando County. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 8:16 AM at the intersection of Bayhead Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

FHP reports indicate that the motorcyclist, operating a Honda, was traveling northbound on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard. At the same time, a Hyundai SUV, driven by a 32-year-old Brooksville man, was heading southbound on the same road.

As the motorcyclist attempted a left turn at the intersection of Bayhead Road, he reportedly lost control of his vehicle and was separated from it. This action caused him to travel into the path of and was struck by the oncoming Hyundai SUV.

Tragically, the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash and was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Hyundai SUV and his two female passengers, aged 24 and five, were uninjured in the incident.

The FHP is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
