Woman, Man Arrested After Deputies Recover Stolen Jeep and Allegedly Find Meth in Polk County

POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Two people were arrested early Wednesday morning after Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies recovered a stolen vehicle and allegedly discovered methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, deputies became aware of a stolen white Jeep traveling on Bomber Road at approximately 1:30 a.m. on August 5. The vehicle had previously been reported stolen to the Hardee County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies located the Jeep near the intersection of Gerber Dairy Road and conducted a traffic stop.
Investigators identified the driver as 33-year-old Vianca Bruno and the passenger as 39-year-old Thomas Christopher Goodwin.
Deputies say both Bruno and Goodwin were found in possession of methamphetamine. They were arrested and transported to the Polk County Sheriff's Processing Center.
Bruno faces charges of Grand Theft Motor Vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While License Suspended or Revoked (DWLSR).
Goodwin was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office announced the arrests on social media, jokingly referencing the Disney song "We Don't Talk About Bruno," saying, "Despite the song, 'We Don't Talk About Bruno,' we're going to go ahead and talk about Bruno... and her little friend too."
The investigation remains ongoing.
