Polk County Detectives Search for Suspect Accused of Using Stolen Credit Card Information to Buy Nearly $3,000 in Pokémon Cards

LAKELAND, Fla. — Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help identifying a man accused of using stolen credit card information to purchase nearly $3,000 worth of Pokémon trading cards from two Central Florida card shops.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the investigation stems from Case #26-28905, involving fraudulent purchases made on July 11, 2026.
Investigators say the suspect first visited Flo-Go Shop, located at 2254 East Edgewood Drive in Lakeland, where he purchased approximately $1,284 in Pokémon cards.
Authorities say the same individual later traveled to Plant City Card Shop in Plant City and made a second purchase totaling $1,698.50 in Pokémon cards.
Detectives determined both transactions were allegedly made using stolen credit card information.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance images of the suspect in hopes that someone will recognize him and come forward with information.
