Turnpike Paralyzed: Semi-Trailer Wreck Forces Full Northbound Closure in Osceola County
OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — All northbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike are shut down in Osceola County following a semi-trailer crash that is blocking the roadway.
The closure stretches from Exit 242 at U.S. 192 (Kissimmee / St. Cloud South) to the ramp near Mile Marker 244 at Osceola Parkway, according to authorities. As of the latest update, all northbound lanes remain closed while crews work to clear the scene.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area and plan for significant delays. Recommended alternate northbound routes include Orange Blossom Trail (OBT) or John Young Parkway for motorists traveling through Kissimmee, and Narcoossee Road for those coming from St. Cloud. Access to Florida’s Turnpike may also be available via the Osceola Parkway entrance.
Emergency responders are actively working the crash scene. No timeline has been provided for reopening the roadway. Updates will be shared as lanes begin to reopen.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and follow posted detours.
