Mesa, AZ - Mesa Police have released new details in the investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night near East Brown Road and North 40th Street.

Mesa Police have now identified the 19-year-old man killed in the fatal Brown Road shooting as Skylar Vance.

According to police, just before 10:00 p.m. on December 23, 2025, officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the area. When officers arrived, they located two males and one female suffering from gunshot wounds.
