Shooting Investigation Underway in Mesa; Multiple Victims Reported, Suspect Possibly Outstanding
Mesa, AZ — Mesa Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday night, December 23, in a residential neighborhood near 4061 E. Grandview Drive.
According to the Mesa Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area around 10:00 p.m. following reports of gunfire. iSkyNews.com reporters were on scene and observed an active and expanding police presence throughout the neighborhood.
An officer at the scene confirmed to iSkyNews.com that several people were shot during the incident. Police also indicated that a suspect may still be outstanding as the investigation continues.
Reporters observed multiple Mesa Police officers walking the surrounding neighborhood with the assistance of K-9 units, possibly searching for a suspect. A nearby vehicle with a shattered window, believed to be consistent with possible bullet damage, was also visible at the scene.
At this time, no information has been released regarding the condition of the victims or a suspect description.
