Santa Sighted… Juggling in Traffic on Christmas Day in Mesa

MESA, AZ — Christmas Day brought a little unexpected entertainment to Mesa roadways Thursday afternoon when a Santa-clad juggler decided to spread some holiday cheer right in the middle of traffic.

Around 2:00 p.m., Mesa Police were dispatched to reports of a man juggling in a traffic lane near Mesa Drive and US-60. The individual was described as a man in his 30s wearing glasses, red shorts, and a festive Santa-themed outfit — turning an ordinary Christmas afternoon commute into an impromptu holiday performance.

Officers from the Mesa Police Department responded to the scene to make sure everyone stayed safe, both the juggler and passing motorists. While no reindeer were officially spotted, one Mesa officer couldn’t resist getting into the holiday spirit, humorously keying up on the radio to ask dispatch if “Santa had any reindeer with him.”

Thankfully, the situation remained lighthearted, no injuries were reported, and traffic continued moving safely once officers handled the call.

Moments like this are a reminder that even on busy holidays, a little humor can go a long way — especially for first responders working Christmas Day to keep the community safe.

🎄 Merry Christmas, Mesa! Sometimes we all just need a laugh, even in the middle of traffic.
