Motorcyclist Killed in Orange County Crash, FHP Investigating
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 48-year-old man from Oviedo was killed Friday evening following a motorcycle crash in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred at approximately 6:38 p.m. near Silver Star Road and Mercy Drive. Investigators report the motorcyclist was riding a 2023 Honda Navi eastbound on Silver Star Road when he lost control after passing through the intersection and struck a curb. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle as a result of the impact.
The motorcyclist was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased. FHP confirmed the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident occurred in Orange County. Next of kin have been notified.
The crash remains under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol. No additional details were immediately released.
